A Day Full of Smiles, Love, and Beautiful Memories
Seven days ago, we celebrated National Children's Day at CYMA Nepal. It was a beautiful day filled with laughter, music, dancing, and many happy faces. But for us, this celebration was more than just Children's Day. It was also a special birthday celebration for some of our children.
Every child at CYMA has their own story. They have come to us from different places and different circumstances. Some remember their families and the places where they grew up. Others are still searching for answers about their past.
A few of our children do not know their exact date of birth. They do not remember when they were born, and some do not know who their parents are.
When other children celebrate their birthdays, blow out candles, and receive wishes from their families, we sometimes wonder how these little hearts must feel.
Every child deserves to celebrate their birthday, even if they do not know the day they were born.
That is why we decided to make National Children's Day a special birthday celebration for our children whose birthdays are unknown.
A Birthday Cake for Everyone 🎂
We bought a birthday cake, fresh fruits, chocolates, and other treats to make the day special.
The children gathered together to celebrate. There was excitement everywhere as they prepared to cut the cake and share it with their friends.
For some children, it was not just about eating cake or receiving chocolates. It was about feeling loved, remembered, and included.
We wanted every child to know that their life matters, their happiness matters, and they deserve to be celebrated.
We may not know the exact day some of our children were born, but we can still celebrate the beautiful gift of their lives.
Little Talents, Big Dreams 🌟
The celebration became even more beautiful when our children started sharing their talents.
Some danced with their friends, filling the room with energy and laughter. Others stood in front of everyone and recited poems they had prepared.
A few children sang songs, while their friends listened, smiled, and encouraged them.
Every performance was special in its own way.
We saw children who were excited to perform, children who were a little shy, and children who simply enjoyed watching their friends.
These small moments reminded us that every child has something beautiful inside them. They need love, encouragement, and opportunities to discover what they can do.
Their past may be different, but their dreams deserve the same chance as every other child's.
More Than Just a Celebration
At CYMA Nepal, we believe that caring for children is not only about providing food, clothing, education, and a safe place to live.
It is also about giving them beautiful memories.
A birthday celebration, a song with friends, a piece of cake, or a simple moment of laughter may seem like a small thing. But these experiences can mean so much to a child who has faced difficult circumstances.
We cannot change everything that happened in their past. We cannot always answer every question they have about their families.
But we can do our best to make sure they feel loved, respected, and supported today.
We want our children to grow up with memories of friendship, kindness, and happiness. We want them to know that they are never alone and that there are people who care about their future.
A Beautiful Day to Remember ❤️
As the celebration came to an end, we looked back at the smiles, the performances, the birthday cake, and all the little moments we had shared.
It was a simple celebration, but it meant a lot to us.
We hope that when our children grow older and look back at these photographs, they will remember the happiness they shared with their friends and the people who celebrated their lives.
